Poplar Bluff homecomings are loved by many. If you are a local you would know how important sports are to PB especially the highschool! Sports = Sports homecoming if you didn't understand the correlation. Most highschoolers tend to show love days before a sports homecoming by dressing up for a week called "Spirt Week" the school/STUCO come up with very creative ways to show love to our sports teams. As long as I can rememeber homecoming has been an evenet that many students and staff have enjoyed. Sadly many thought that COVID-19 would stop us from celebrating but some of the teachers have been spreading the word that if we wore masks enough that we could still have a homecoming.
Homecoming this year is said to be on October 2nd. But it's not the typical dance this year. Since COVID-19 is still here and such it's been said by an anonymous sorce that and I quote We will be having a Flick-On-The-Field!
Spirt week is still a go and is differnet from the years that I've been going to the highschool. It seems to have a circus kind of theme this year. Personally I think we're making the best of this year and we will continue to look at the postive side of things. Happy 2020-21 school year!
